2022 USPMGA Master's Recap

For the second year in a row, our hosts had the chance to participate in the USPMGA Master's held in Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach, SC. The tournament was October 6-8, 2022. They talk about their experiences playing the 3 courses (Island course at Aloha South, Pineapple course at Aloha North and Hawaiian Rumble), how they played overall and the overall standings (including how they fared after 12 rounds). They also spent a good amount of time looking at the positives to come out of the tournament this year (relationships, course condition, etc) as well as some constructive critizism on where they think the tournament can elevate it's game (more information needed, rules clarity, etc).

2021 Mt. Atlanticus Mighty Minotaur Recap

The Master's wasn't the only tournament in Myrtle Beach early in October, our hosts, together Aaron "El Presidente" Kaminkski of O-Street Mini Golf joined forces with the Mt. Atlanticus course to present the first Mighty Minotaur Mini Golf Tournament. It was a qualifying round style tournament with the Top 8 scores playing a final 9 hole dash to the cash.

We knock out the discussion pretty quick with our two guests this episode. We were joined by friend of the pod and the tournament winner Mark "The Highlighter" Novicki known best for his colorful choice of clothing as well as his good putting. Also making her podcast debut was Mandy Ranslow, the other half of The Putting Penguin who played in the tournament and was the camerawoman for the complete final round.

2021 USGPMA Master's Recap

"A traditional unlike any...", wait wrong Masters tournament. Our hosts aren't talking Augusta but rather Myrtle Beach as they look back on the 2021 USPMGA Master's, a 12 round tournament held on October 7-9, 2021. An applicable quote for this year from Jim Nantz would be "It's a solitary journey, but it's one that no player...makes alone" as Olivia (Prokopova) Sahmel, newly married and a new mom, took home her 3rd green jacket in 2021.

Our hosts are joined by Holey Moley alum and competitive minigolfer Aaron "El Presidente" Kaminski to talk about their individual and collective experience with this year's tournament. Holey Moley has a new grand champion, Rachel Lentsch, from Mr. Tee's home state of Minnesota. We recapped the episode and had her on to share her experience competing for the top spot in Season 3!

We added in a Masters of Mini Golf primer & previewed the tournament we're putting on next week, The Mighty Minotaur Mini Golf Tournament. Our little tourney will be happening at Mt. Atlanticus in Myrtle Beach on October 8th & 9th. Tom gave a quick recap of the Miniest Open at Lilli Putt.
